Reproduction of the English 'Brown Bess' rifle in wood and metal with loading and firing movements.
The pistol, officially called the Short Land Pattern Muskett, was one of the most widely used firearms during the 18th and 19th centuries. It was an avant-charge, long and heavy carbine with a smooth barrel and large calibre. It is distinguished by its robust construction and the reliability of its flintlock mechanism, but also by its low range and low bullet velocity, in line with similar weapons of the time.
