If one speaks of traditional Sardinian dress, one cannot fail to mention jewellery. True accessories of the garment, they are not limited to a mere ornamental function but take on roles of necessity; they become functional complements such as buttons, zips, belts.

Nella gioielleria artigianale sarda, il materiale storicamente più utilizzato è l’argento. Impreziosito da pietre dure, coralli, turchesi e ossidiane, lavorato a filigrana, era disponibile sull’Isola fin da tempi remoti. Monili e fibbie in argento filigranato, sono stati rinvenuti nei siti archeologici di tutta la Sardegna.
