In Sardinian handicraft jewellery, the most historically used material is silver. Embellished with semi-precious stones, corals, turquoise and obsidian, worked in filigree, it was available on the island from ancient times. Filigree silver jewellery and buckles have been found in archaeological sites all over Sardinia.
