M1928 automatic submachine gun designed by John Taliaferro Thompson in 1918, was adopted in 1938 by the United Armed States serving during the Second World War and later in the Korean War and in the early stages of the Vietnam War. It was a favorite of soldiers, criminals, policemen and civilian ergonomics, compact size, reliability, high rate of fire automatically and .45 ACP ammunition. He had a direct magazine of 20 cartridges or a magazine magazine of 50-100 cartridges.

He acquired a bad reputation during the period of Prohibition in the United States (1920-1933). It normally appears in the media, when it was the favorite weapon of gangsters. He came to earn such nicknames as Trench Broom, Trench Sweeper, Chicago Typewriter, Chicago Piano, Chicago Style, or The Chopper.
